Multnomah County Health Department is seeking an On-Call Pharmacy Technician to support our pharmacy clinics in Portland, OR. You will assist Pharmacists, gather patient information, and prepare prescriptions in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants must be licensed in Oregon with at least 6 months retail pharmacy experience. Shifts are on-call to meet staffing needs; pay ranges from $27.64 to $33.99 per hour and position is non-exempt.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in Oregon (in good standing).
• Minimum 6 months experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
• Knowledge of pharmacy operations, billing, and customer service.

Responsabilités

• Gather patient information for prescription processing.
• Perform online billing and resolve third-party claim rejections.
• Prepare prescriptions by counting, pouring, or mixing medications and labeling containers.
• Answer phones, process refill requests, and file prescriptions after dispensing.
• Review patient profiles in electronic health records and pharmacy software.
• Close out end-of-shift batches and prepare daily deposits.
