University Health Partners Of Hawaii seeks a dentist to provide limited screening and preventive care for children in the Kona area as part of the Hawaii Keiki Program. This on‑call, part‑time role includes supervising hygienists and dental students.

Responsibilities include coordinating sealant days at Hawaii DOE schools, ordering sealants after exams, and ensuring high standards of care while adhering to program policies and timelines.

Qualifications

• Hawaii State Dental license currently active.
• CPR/BLS certification current.
• Experience in general dentistry practice.
• Experience with mobile dental clinic equipment.
• Experience consulting in Hawaii's healthcare community.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and edits to the dental sealant policy and procedure manual.
• Assist with and make recommendations for equipment required for the dental sealant program.
• Provide supervision to dental hygienists during sealant days at DOE Schools in Hawaii.
• Perform dental assessments of students with signed consent for dental screening and sealants.
• Diagnose urgent dental problems requiring referral.
