Job summary

Acadia Healthcare seeks a dedicated transport associate to move patients, staff, and visitors to appointments and events across our facilities. You will ensure belt use, operate facilities vehicles, and maintain accurate transport records, while upholding patient safety and professionalism.

The role requires CPR and de-escalation/restraint training, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to complete documentation with care. A strong, empathetic customer service mindset is essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
  • First aid certification may be required depending on state or facility.
  • Ability to document transport activities accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Pick up or transports visitors or staff as needed.
  • Transport patients for admissions and discharges.
  • Ensure all passengers wear seatbelts before the vehicle is started.
  • Drive facility vehicle to pick up supplies or equipment as needed.
  • Respond to and adhere to on-call schedule.
  • Accurately complete all transportation documentation.
  • Maintain vehicle logs and report maintenance issues.
  • Keep all company vehicles clean and functional.
  • Provide empathetic, professional attitude toward customers and resolve patient complaints when needed.
