Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to perform building and grounds upkeep. This on-site role includes electrical, plumbing, HVAC, grounds, and miscellaneous facility tasks, with on-call duties as required.

Evenings and some weekends are included; hours are limited to 25 per week. A high school diploma or GED and proven building trades experience are required; physical ability is essential. Ivy Tech provides benefits for part-time staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proven experience in the building trades.
• Physically able to perform the duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Electrical installations, hook-ups, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, controls, and repairs.
• Plumbing installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Heating and air conditioning repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Grounds maintenance including landscaping, snow removal, and mowing.
• Preventive maintenance and repair of motorized equipment.
• New installations, remodeling and preventive maintenance of structures.
• Safety awareness and adherence to OSHA regulations.
• Special equipment installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
• Equipment movement, relocation, and logistics.

Education
