Job summary

Rincon Consultants, Inc. is seeking Archaeological Field Technicians (on-call) to support surveys, site recording, and monitoring across the Pacific Northwest. You will collect data, prepare forms and maps, and coordinate with project managers, tribal representatives, and crew leaders.

Candidates should have 1+ year of field experience; a Bachelor's in Archaeology/Anthropology is required, Master’s may substitute. Travel to remote project locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related discipline.
• One or more years of professional archaeological field experience; Master's may substitute for one year.
• Ability to work independently in the field with professional judgment.
• Experience with field equipment including GPS, cameras, tablets, and related devices.
• Knowledge of ESRI Field Maps and Survey123.

Responsibilities

• Conduct archaeological surveys, monitoring, site recording, and field evaluations.
• Collect and document field data with accuracy and project-standard compliance.
• Prepare field forms, site records, maps, photographs, and other documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, field leadership, clients, tribal representatives, and team members.
• Communicate clearly to verify instructions and data; identify, describe, and photograph artifacts.
