Job summary

LOPA is seeking an Organ Recovery Coordinator I to coordinate the organ donation process across hospitals in the donor service area. You will evaluate referrals, maintain communication among teams, and manage deceased organ donor care using established protocols.

Responsibilities include surgical recovery familiarity, packaging and labeling of organs, collaboration with Donor Care Center staff, and ensuring accurate documentation and timely donor interactions with families throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Ability to deliver effective and professional verbal and written communication.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external colleagues.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Effective communication with internal and external colleagues.
• Adheres to all LOPA Policies and regulatory guidelines relevant to the organ recovery processes.
• Maintains current professional licensure & certifications, BLS, ACLS, PALS.
• Maintains all competencies required for the LOPA Donor Care Center.
• Maintains competency to perform test procedures and report results promptly, accurately, and proficiently.
