Job summary

LifeShare's Donor Care division seeks a skilled Organ Donation Coordinator with leadership and critical care experience to oversee DCC operations and donor management. The role includes on-call medical director extender coverage, policy development, staff education, and staff mentoring within a high-stakes environment.

Responsibilities cover airway and ventilator management, CLIA/CMS/UNOS compliance, and collaboration with ORCs, family support, and operations teams to optimize organ function.

Qualifications

• RN license and CPTC certification required or in process.
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare field or associate's degree in nursing.
• ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Rotate on-call medical director extender coverage evaluating potential donor suitability.
• Lead and mentor Organ Recovery Coordinator III teammates.
• Make and execute treatment and clinical care decisions.
• Perform diagnostics/procedures as applicable.
• Coordinate staffing for the DCC with ORC III.
• Provide intraoperative care including airway/ventilator management.
• Oversee DCC equipment management and regulatory compliance.
• Lead policy development, quality improvement, and outcomes measures.
• Lead supply chain management for meds, supplies, and stocking.
• Deliver donor management education to staff and participate in onboarding.
