Job summary

Cayuse is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide occupational health services at our Washington, DC facility. The role emphasizes safe work environments, employee well-being, and high medical standards.

Responsibilities include case management for workers' comp, immunizations, audiometry, spirometry, and adherence to Cayuse policies. The ideal candidate holds an unrestricted DC-area nursing license with CPR/AED certifications and is comfortable with occupational health software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted nursing license to practice in the Washington DC area (DC, MD, and VA).
• CPR certification.
• AED certification.
• COHN-S certification encouraged but not required.
• Credit Check is required.
• Tier one background check and 10-Panel drug screening.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Act as the nurse case manager for workers' compensation cases.
• Provide occupational health services including audiometry, spirometry, immunizations, and workers' compensation follow up.
• Work with web-based systems, Occupational Health and Safety software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Assist the Medical Director with monitoring Local, State, and/or Federal mailboxes and inform the Medical Director of all urgent matters.
• Review spirometry tests (Pulmonary Function Test).
• Review audiograms, determine work-relatedness of hearing loss, follow-up work-related hearing loss, and manage audiometric databases.
• Respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocol.
• Maintain work area, exam rooms, and supplies.
• Attend meetings as requested; follow Cayuse policies; perform additional reports as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
