Qualifications

• State Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a Nursing Attendant course.
• Current enrollment in an approved RN or LVN program may be substituted for 1 year of experience.
• Per the National Agreement, current KP Coalition employees have this experience requirement waived.
• Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care activities under supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.
• Provide information to patients and families within the scope of competency.
• Report unusual findings and changes to the Registered Nurse promptly.
• Transport patients, equipment, and specimens using proper body mechanics.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure a clean, safe environment.
