Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year experience as a Nursing Attendant in an acute hospital, skilled nursing, extended care, or convalescent care setting.
• Current enrollment in an approved RN or LVN program may be substituted for 1 year of experience.
• Per the National Agreement, current KP Coalition employees have this experience requirement waived.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, performs patient care functions within the scope of competency and standards of care.
• Demonstrates professional, respectful interaction with patients, families, and health care team.
• Assist with patient care activities and notify RN if unable to complete assignments.
• Communicate effectively using established chain of command and escalation procedures.
• Document actions legibly and timely in the patient record.
