Job summary

Bristol Hospice is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses to serve as Warriors of the Night, delivering hospice care after-hours and on weekends with autonomy and empathy. You will respond to critical moments, coordinate care, and ensure seamless communication across the care team.

Applicants must hold an active RN license, be flexible with hours, and be comfortable traveling within the Bristol Hospice service area to support patients and families in need.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with current licensure in good standing.
• Knowledge of hospice concepts and end-of-life care is preferred.
• Flexibility to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform after-hours and weekend visits and admissions when required.
• Coordinate with DPCS, RN Clinical Supervisor/Manager, or RN Case Manager for urgent calls.
• Dispatch field nurses and staff to patients' homes in a timely manner.
• Refill prescriptions, order supplies and DME, and assist in coordination for patients and families.
• Document calls and outcomes in the call-triage software system.
• Provide start-of-shift reports and end-of-shift handoffs per location workflow.
