Qualifications

• Flexible in work hours and willing to travel within Bristol Hospice Service Area.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and support grieving families.
• Proficiency with computer data entry and standard software.

• Direct calls to DPCS, RN Clinical Supervisor/Manager, RN Case Manager, or address the need immediately per scope of practice.
• Dispatch field nurses and other appropriate staff to a patient’s residence in a timely manner.
• Re-fill prescriptions, order supplies and DME, and assist with other coordination required by patients and families.
• Document calls, conversations, and outcomes in the call-in software system.
• Receive the start-of-shift report and give the end-of-shift report in accordance with the location workflow.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

At Bristol Hospice, we’re looking for compassionate and courageous Registered Nurses to serve as our Warriors of the Night — the calm in the storm and the trusted presence for patients and families during critical after‑hours moments. The position is full‑time, located in Honolulu, HI (Bristol Hospice – 96813) with a swing shift covering evenings, nights, and weekends.

Salary Range: $97,760 – $101,920 per year.

Requirements

• Must understand the philosophy of hospice and the needs of the terminally ill.
• Must be flexible in work hours.
• Must demonstrate aptitude for computer data entry and use of current software systems such as word processing, spreadsheets, and project tools.
• Must possess the ability to deal with stressful situations and grieving families.
• Must demonstrate nursing skills per the competency checklist.
• Must demonstrate willingness to maintain comprehensive working knowledge of information systems and applicable software programs.
• Ability to travel throughout the Bristol Hospice Service Area.
• Must be able to lift heavy items frequently, including up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance, and spend a prolonged amount of time standing, walking, bending, and stretching.
