Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with knowledge of hospice and telephone triage preferred.
• Current licensure in good standing with the state.
• Must understand hospice philosophy and needs of the terminally ill.
• Must be flexible in work hours.
• Aptitude for computer data entry and common software (word processing, spreadsheets, projects).
• Ability to travel throughout the Bristol Hospice Service Area.

Responsibilities

• Will perform after hours and weekend visits and admissions as needed.
• Follow up on phone calls and direct to RN supervisor/manager or RN Case Manager as appropriate.
• Dispatch field nurses and staff to patient residences in a timely manner.
• Refill prescriptions, order supplies and DME as needed.
• Document calls and outcomes in call-in software.
• Receive start-of-shift reports and give end-of-shift reports per location workflow.
• All other duties as assigned.
