WSP Global Inc. in Charlotte, NC seeks an On-Call Nuclear Materials Engineer to contribute to geotechnical and construction materials engineering for safety-related projects in nuclear power plant design and construction.

You will review lab and field test reports, provide technical leadership for the nuclear program, ensure compliance with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and ASME NQA-1, and mentor staff while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years engineering experience in corporate environment.
• 3+ years experience in licensing, design, and construction of nuclear facilities.
• Experience with Nuclear QA programs meeting 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and ASME NQA-1.
• Experience reviewing lab and field test reports for construction materials testing.

Responsabilités

• Review laboratory and field test reports for safety-related materials.
• Provide technical leadership to the nuclear program for high-quality outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with environmental laws and Nuclear QA requirements (10 CFR 50 App B, ASME NQA-1).
• Assist in defining proposals, scopes, timelines, and pricing for future work.
• Interpret data and summarize reports to support scientific conclusions.
• Contribute to multi-disciplinary teams with strategic client guidance.
• Mentor staff to support growth and development.
• Uphold ethics, safety, and code of conduct in all actions.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
