Job summary

North Shore Gardens in Charleston, SC is seeking a Maintenance Service Technician to keep apartments and common areas in excellent condition. You will fix and maintain systems, perform repairs, and ensure safety and comfort for residents.

You will handle tasks from prep work for new move-ins to routine maintenance, while supporting preventative maintenance and special projects. A hands-on mindset and reliable transportation are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, or related trades.
• EPA certification preferred.
• CPO certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in all conditions.

Responsibilities

• Prep vacant apartments to market-ready condition.
• Handle work orders with skill, urgency, and a smile.
• Perform general maintenance including light plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC, and appliance repair.
• Keep grounds and common areas clean and inviting.
• Support preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Pitch in with special projects, pool upkeep, and seasonal tasks.
• Stay on-call for emergency maintenance needs.
• Work safely and efficiently.
