Job summary

Rookwood Properties is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician for Northland Village apartments in Forest Park, OH. You will handle maintenance, repairs, and turnover, on a five‑week on‑call rotation, with a focus on safety and property standards.

Qualified candidates will have HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• On-call rotation: five weeks per property, with required participation.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; background and MVR checks.
• Multifamily or commercial maintenance experience; pool experience preferred.
• HVAC, basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills; EPA certification a plus.
• Strong English communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, lift over 50 pounds, and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, buildings, grounds, and equipment; oversee contractors as directed.
• Complete routine carpentry, leak, painting, appliance, smoke detector, and lighting repairs; minimize external vendors.
• Identify maintenance needs and ensure safety and fair housing compliance.
• Prepare vacant units, maintain common areas, and keep maintenance and inventory records.
