Job summary

Family Best Care in Langley, Washington, is seeking a reliable weekend on-call caregiver to support a client with memory care needs. The role focuses on companionship, daily routines, safety, and a calm, structured environment.

You will assist with ADLs, mobility, meals, hydration, and light housekeeping, while communicating updates to the office. The position offers ongoing assignments, with weekend shifts and a community-focused team.

Qualifications

• Active WA HCA, CNA, or NAC credential.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current TB test or screening.
• Current WA Food Worker Card.
• Valid government-issued photo identification.
• Reliable transportation and phone access.
• Ability to complete onboarding requirements.
• Availability for the listed schedule.
• Comfort working with memory care clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Support bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention.
• Provide companionship, conversation, and meaningful engagement.
• Offer calm reassurance and redirection as needed.
• Support daily routines and a structured environment.
• Prepare meals and encourage hydration and nutrition.
• Monitor safety and changes in condition.
• Complete light housekeeping related to care.
• Accompany to appointments, errands, or activities.
• Document care notes accurately and communicate updates to the office.
• Follow the care plan and client routines.
