Oakmont Management Group is seeking a Medication Technician to supervise and assist in administering medications to residents, following nursing standards and company policies. The role includes direct personal care and encouraging resident participation in activities, working with housekeeping and maintenance as part of our mission and values.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience assisting with medication in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
• Completion of training/certification may be required per state regulation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Written and verbal skills to interact with staff, physicians, residents and families.
• Must pass Criminal Background and Health Screen TB tests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with colleagues and departments.
