Job summary

Union Settlement is seeking a Meals on Wheels Driver (On-Call) in East Harlem. This on-call role requires delivering meals to homebound clients, driving a Union Settlement van, and packing meals for daily delivery.

You must have a high school diploma or GED, a NYS driver's license, at least three years of driving experience. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. The role reports to the Meals on Wheels Coordinator.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid NYS driver0license required.
• At least three years of driving experience.
• No DUI convictions in the last 2 years.
• No more than one moving violation in the last 2 years.
• English speaking and writing proficiency; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Ability to lift and carry 30+ pounds and deliver meals daily.
• Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals to homebound clients daily.
• Drive Union Settlement van/truck in East Harlem.
• Pack meals into hot and cold containers.
• Maintain accurate daily route sheet.
• Report delivery or client status issues to MOW Coordinator.
• Clean and sanitize delivery bags and vehicle compartments daily.
• Assist with kitchen or other program duties as assigned.
