UVA Health Prince William Medical Center in Gainesville, VA is seeking a Mammography Technologist to assist physicians and operate mammography equipment to obtain diagnostic images.

The role requires ARRT-certified Radiography, a high school diploma or GED, and ARRT registration within 12 months of hire. 1 year of Mammography experience is preferred. Base pay is $42.00 per hour with potential incentives.

Formación

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; 2 Year/Associate's Degree preferred; ARRT-approved Radiography Program required.
• Experience: 1 year of Mammography preferred.
• Licensure: ARRT radiography certification; Mammography RT(R)(M) within 12 months of hire; optional RT(R)(M)(BD).
• Additional Skills: Analytical ability, good communication, patient age–specific care awareness, procedural prep and operation.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare the patient for procedures and operate Mammography equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Obtain images with proper density and contrast and review for quality.
• Explain procedures and post-procedure orders to patients to ease anxiety.
• Maintain sterile technique and clean equipment between patients; follow safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the radiology team to optimize workflow and patient care.
