Job summary

The Monroe Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general building repairs and unit make-ready duties on vacant apartments.

The role covers electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, HVAC, and appliance repairs, with on-call emergency maintenance and vendor coordination as part of daily responsibilities. A valid driver’s license and basic hand-tool proficiency are required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
At least 1 year of maintenance technician experience including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair.
Experience in an affordable housing environment preferred.
Technical training and licenses preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs maintenance work orders across electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, and door/lock repairs.
Completes unit make-ready duties for vacant apartments per standards.
Schedules and coordinates vendors for flooring, painting, cleaning and appliance replacement.
Maintains building inventory and performs preventive maintenance.
Monitors work by outside contractors and assists with on-call emergencies.
Assists with annual inspections and safety procedures.
Keeps accurate records of repairs, replacements and costs.
Ensures compliance with safety guidelines and company policies.
