Job summary

GMC Properties LLC is seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician with a minimum of two years in the maintenance industry to join our family-owned property management team in Jacksonville, FL. This role supports make-readies and repairs across multi-family properties, requiring dependable teamwork and safe work practices.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, performing preventative maintenance, and basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of property maintenance experience preferred.
• Willing to rotate 24-hour emergency on-call.
• Valid driver's license and up-to-date vehicle insurance OR reliable transportation.
• Pass criminal background screening prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in make readies with electrical, plumbing, and carpentry as needed.
• Complete work orders as directed by Community Manager or Lead Maintenance.
• Repair structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls, and building exteriors.
• Complete preventative maintenance program.
• Complete grounds work such as sweeping and light landscaping.
• Maintain knowledge of HVAC systems; able to maintain/repair/replace—preferred but not required.
