Job summary

BR Management is a property management company based in Indiana, offering a Maintenance Technician role in Fort Wayne. The position emphasizes preventative maintenance, timely issue resolution, and on-site collaboration with a team dedicated to quality living environments.

You will handle HVAC and appliance repairs, participate in on-call rotations, and ensure adherence to housing laws and safety standards while keeping detailed maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Technical school, Highschool Diploma, or G.E.D. preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years' experience in maintenance or equivalent field.
• EPA certified.
• Possess your own basic tools to perform building maintenance.
• Valid driver's license preferred. Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check is required.
• Must be willing to work on an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and complete preventative maintenance activities and update related records.
• Provide excellent customer service in fixing maintenance requests with timely and responsive resolution.
• Complete maintenance work involving drywall, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and respond to emergencies and disasters.
• Complete all work orders within the assigned timeframe and prepare apartments within five business days of vacancy.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace HVAC equipment (furnaces and condensers).
• Troubleshoot and repair appliances (stove, refrigerator, etc.).
• Comply with local ordinances and Fair Housing laws.
