The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an experienced maintenance supervisor to oversee daily operations of our maintenance department. You will evaluate systems, plan work assignments, and ensure facilities run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities include managing electrical/plumbing/HVAC repairs, preventive maintenance programs, and cost estimation for work orders while training staff and maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of maintenance experience.
• Extensive knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong management and supervisory capabilities.
• Ability to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Proficient in planning maintenance schedules.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Operations: Facilitate or perform maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting systems.
• Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs.
• Initiate and manage work order system to track completion and quality.
• Estimate labor, materials, and costs for all work orders.
• Keep necessary records including maintenance log, mileage log, and OSHA log.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and compliance requirements.
• Supervise and train maintenance workers.
• Provide training and mentoring to promote success.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure proper use of PPE including gloves, masks, and back guards.
