Job summary

Michigan State University is seeking individuals for temporary or on-call roles to provide food service, custodial, general labor or maintenance support for departments located off-campus (outside the Greater Lansing area). Standard work hours are 8-5.

Duties include housekeeping and conference support: change bedding, clean surfaces in conference lodging areas, meeting rooms and dining hall; set and reset conference rooms; assist in the kitchen when needed. Seasonal with lower hours in winter.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal communications skills.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning supplies and their application.
• Able to work up to 10 hours on their feet.
• Reliable means of transportation.

Responsibilities

• Housekeeping and conference support services with general labor duties as required: Change bedding & clean surfaces in Conference Center lodging areas, meeting rooms and dining hall.
