Job summary

Pegasus Support Services, LLC in Omaha, NE is seeking a Maintenance Electrician at the Zorinsky Federal Building to install, maintain and repair electrical equipment, respond to service orders, and support facility operations.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED, at least 3 years of journey level electrician experience, Nebraska driver’s license, and ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams; familiarity with NEC/NFPA codes is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 3 years journey level electrician experience.
• Must maintain a valid Nebraska Driver's License and ability to maintain facility access are required.
• Ability to interpret and apply building plans, blueprints, wiring diagram, and engineering drawings
• Working knowledge of National Electric Codes (NEC), National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) Codes and Standards at a minimum NFPA 70, NFPA 110, NFPA 99, and NFPA 101
• Experience responding to and completing repairs on Demand Maintenance Orders (DMOs).

Responsibilities

• Installs or repairs a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems or other transmission equipment.
• Works from blueprints, drawings, layouts or other specifications; performs installation, maintenance and/or repairs.
• Locates and diagnoses trouble in the electrical equipment.
• Uses a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments to perform duties.
• Performs preventative maintenance on all types of electrical equipment
• Responds to and completes service orders
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
