Job summary

Mount Holyoke College’s Lyons Lift program seeks a part-time on-call driver to operate the wheelchair-accessible van on campus, providing safe, curb-to-curb transportation to students and staff.

You’ll cover shifts as needed, perform pre-trip safety checks, assist riders in and out, maintain confidentiality, and report incidents to Public Safety. Training and background checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license with satisfactory record.
• Fleet-certified driver or ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high call volume.

Responsibilities

• Operate wheelchair-accessible van to transport riders on campus.
• Assist riders entering and exiting the vehicle as needed.
• Perform pre- and post- shift safety checks on the vehicle.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct with riders.
• Record ridership and report incidents to Public Safety.
