Job summary

Pikes Peak Post Acute is seeking a qualified LPN/LVN supervisor to provide direct nursing care and oversee nursing assistants in a long-term care setting. You will ensure adherence to policies, maintain essential manuals, and coordinate services with other departments.

The role requires strong leadership, documentation accuracy, and the ability to navigate federal and Arkansas state regulations to maintain high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

  • Must hold an active nursing license in Arkansas.
  • Experience leading nursing staff in long-term care.
  • Ability to follow federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the facility.
  • Ensure that all nursing personnel assigned to you comply with written policies and procedures.
  • Periodically review the department’s policies, procedures, manuals, and job descriptions; make revisions.
  • Meet with your assigned nursing staff and support personnel to plan shifts, services, programs and activities.
  • Maintain the Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure it reflects current practice.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures set forth in the Nursing Service Procedures Manual.
  • Provide written and oral reports on shift activities as required.
  • Cooperate with other resident services to maintain the resident’s total care regimen.
  • Participate in facility surveys and update discharge plans as needed.
  • Assist in planning the nursing services portion of the resident’s discharge plan.
  • Interpret policies to staff, residents, visitors, and agencies.
