Job summary

Saratoga Retirement Community is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our upscale Skilled Nursing Facility in Saratoga, CA. This on-call role supports residents with compassionate, professional care and collaborates with a team to meet ongoing needs.

Requirements include a California LVN license, at least six months of long-term care experience, and strong communication and computer skills to manage charting and records.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of aging process and implications in care.
• Working knowledge of computers and typing for electronic records.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and effective care and treatments to residents.
• Work with a team of professionals to ensure residents' needs are met.
• Review routines, calendar of events and resident needs.
• Ensure medications and supplies are ordered, in stock and counted.
• Ensure all charting and record keeping is accurate and complete.
• Attend meetings, trainings.
• Give thorough reports to oncoming shift.
• Update 24-hour report.
• Schedule calendars for upcoming needs.
• Promote the Mission, Vision and Values in all responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
