Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a Licensed Practical Nurse license, has experience in community settings or with developmental disabilities, and possesses strong communication skills and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Completion of certified nursing course evidenced by LPN license.
• LPN with experience in community nursing and/or developmental disabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; valid driver's license.
• Experience with tracheostomy, G-tube/J-tube and ventilation preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a focused team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Instruct, counsel and support residents to promote independence and meet individual needs.
• Maintain an environment that supports proactive decision making and growth.
