Job description

Job Title: Cook / Commis Chef

Great restaurant memories come from many places. The sights, sounds, scents and importantly, the food. As a Cook / Commis Chef, your passion for presentation and dedication to delivering flavor will enhance each guest’s experience. By taking pride in your workspace, maintaining high standards, and sharing your expertise, you'll help create some of our guests’ most lasting memories.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Make each meal visually appealing and flavorful, adding your signature touch to turn high standards into memorable meals for every guest.
  2. Manage your kitchen responsibilities, including supplies and equipment, and minimize waste.
  3. Report unsafe equipment, low supplies, or safety incidents to your supervisor or duty manager.
  4. Contribute to a safe environment by following safety procedures and wearing appropriate protective gear.
  5. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards that meet or exceed local laws.
  6. Assist with washing up and other kitchen duties as needed.
  7. Enhance guest experience by addressing queries or providing advice.
  8. Wear your uniform with pride.
  9. Perform additional duties as required to support the team.
Key Skills & Experiences
  • Physical strength: Ability to lift, push, and pull objects up to 50 lbs (23 kg), including bending and kneeling.
  • Literacy: Good reading, writing, and basic math skills.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  • Compliance: Adherence to local laws on food handling and alcohol service, being of legal age, and fluency in the local language.
  • Communication: Warm, welcoming, and approachable demeanor.
