Job summary

Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group in Orlando is seeking an On-Call Lighting Technician to support the Lighting team. You will be responsible for the safe setup, use and maintenance required for show readiness of lighting systems and equipment.

You will run follow spot/deck cue tracks, inspect and maintain equipment, update maintenance records, and assist with rehearsals and performances. The ideal candidate works well in a team and can adapt to the demanding, dynamic nature of live shows.

Qualifications

At least two years of previous experience as a professional Lighting Technician or equivalent training in a similar environment.
Basic knowledge of digital test equipment for troubleshooting and repairs.
Understanding of AC/DC electricity; basic electronics; computer operations related to lighting systems.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; AutoCAD is an asset.

Responsibilities

Run follow spot/deck cue tracks and support cues for performances.
Inspect and maintain lighting equipment and ensure safe operation.
Maintain cue track documentation and update maintenance records.
Assist with inventory and cross-training for console operators and repair technicians.
Support rehearsals and shows, adapting to changing needs and schedules.
Uphold OSHA regulations and safety practices on all lighting elements.
