Job summary

HealthFitness is seeking a part-time on-call Lifeguard for a client site in the United States. The role focuses on monitoring pool safety, enforcing rules, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a clean, safe aquatic environment for patrons and guests.

Qualifications include American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED/First Aid and being at least 16 years old. Proficiency in MS Office and a member management system is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
• Meet HealthFitness fitness and skill standards.
• Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages with strong customer service skills.
• Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
• Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
• Respond appropriately to any emergency.
• Perform chemical testing and document results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.
• Attend all required staff meetings and training.
• Fold towels, clean, fill water machines and inspect the Aquatics Facility to ensure a safe environment for members.
• Maintain a professional attitude and perform other duties as needed/assigned.
