Job summary

Avalon Health Care Group's Avalon Care Center Honolulu is seeking a dependable Dishwasher to join our team. The role offers on-call hours and compensation of $19.11 per hour, with opportunities to contribute to a clean, efficient kitchen.

Responsibilities include washing and sanitizing dishes, assisting in food preparation and service, ensuring proper temperatures and portioning, and maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness. English literacy and ServeSafe-certified staff are preferred.

Qualifications

• Food Handler’s permit/ServeSafe certification as per state requirements.
• Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written directions in English.
• Must be able to relate positively and cooperatively with residents and staff.
• Must pass drug screening, criminal background investigation and reference inquiry.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes and utensils.
• Assist in food preparation, serving, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
• Check that heating equipment and temperatures are within standards and logged.
• Ensure correct portions on each tray and proper garnishing and arrangement.
• Maintain tray-line cleanliness and dry plate covers; record any discrepancies.
• Discuss excess/shortage with supervisor after tray-line.
