Job summary

Dayton Early College Academy (DECA) is seeking a Guest (Substitute) Teacher to provide continuity in learning when regular teachers are absent. The role reports to the Principal/School Director and supports DECA’s mission.

Candidates must hold a valid Ohio teaching license appropriate for K-12 or a short/long-term substitute license; you will follow lesson plans, model professional behavior, and engage diverse students across DECA’s K-12 campuses.

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio teaching license (K-3, 4-9 or 7-12) or appropriate substitute license.
• Experience and interest in serving diverse student populations.
• Strong knowledge of content standards and effective instructional practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as substitute teacher when regular teachers are absent.
• Follow lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher.
• Support DECA's mission and student learning goals.
• Maintain positive classroom climate and student engagement.
• Report student progress to the classroom teacher.
