Job summary

The Journeyman Plumber, Facility Services at Walmart in Amarillo, TX maintains the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facilities by performing preventive maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems. The role requires diagnosing issues, reading blueprints, and collaborating with management and contractors to support operations.

You will manage work orders, follow safety standards, and respond to emergencies while supporting continuous improvement and adherence to Walmart policies.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued Journeyman Plumber license.
• 2 years’ experience in the plumbing trade.
• License in related trade in city/state of work.
• Ability to read blueprints and repair manuals.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA/EPA).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems and related facility equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Inspect, diagnose, and document facility conditions, identifying repair and replacement needs to prevent future issues.
• Utilize blueprints, manuals, and tools to dismantle, repair, and reassemble plumbing components and fixtures.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and coordinate with contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and parts procurement while maintaining accurate records and reports.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies to maintain a secure work environment.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support critical facility needs outside regular hours.
