Job summary
Geeks On Site is looking for experienced On-Call IT Field Technicians to provide on-site support for residential and small business customers. The role focuses on troubleshooting Windows/macOS, networking, printers, and basic IT services, with opportunities in POS systems and outdoor TV mounting.
The contractor role offers flexible scheduling, with pay at $35 per hour on-site, and additional pay for outdoor TV mounting. You set availability and proximity-based dispatch, driving radius optional.
Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in IT support or field service.
- Own required tools including a laptop, drill, screwdrivers, cable tester, and RJ45 tools.
- Ability to work independently and provide professional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair Windows and macOS issues
- Resolve WiFi, router, and wired network problems
- Install and configure printers and scanners
- Replace or upgrade hardware components
- Reinstall operating systems using bootable tools
- Document work and communicate clearly with customers
- Install and support POS systems and run Cat5e or Cat6 cabling
- Perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup
- Flexible scheduling — accept only the jobs that match your route and availability
