Geeks On Site is actively seeking on-call IT Field Technicians to support residential and small business customers across multiple U.S. cities. The role focuses on PC, Mac, POS, network issues, and optional outdoor TV mounting with a 1099 independent contractor arrangement.

You set your availability and location radius, and we dispatch jobs that match your proximity and skills. Expect on-site work with pay of $35 per hour and no guaranteed hours.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of IT support or field service experience.
• Strong networking and diagnostic skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Ability to work independently and provide professional customer service.
• Own required tools including laptop, drill, screwdrivers, cable tester, RJ45 tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Windows and macOS issues
• Resolve WiFi, router, and wired network problems
• Install and configure printers and scanners
• Replace or upgrade hardware components
• Reinstall operating systems using bootable tools
• Document work and communicate clearly with customers
• Install and support POS systems and run Cat5e or Cat6 cabling
• Perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup
