Job summary

Geeks On Site is seeking an experienced On-Call IT Field Technician to support residential and small business clients across the United States. This 1099 independent contractor role offers flexible scheduling, on-site work, and the opportunity to handle PC, Mac, POS, and TV mounting tasks.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting Windows and macOS, configuring printers, networking support, and occasional outdoor TV mounting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of IT support or field service experience.
• Strong networking and diagnostic skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Own required tools including laptop, drill, screwdrivers, cable tester, and RJ45 tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot Windows and macOS issues.
• Resolve WiFi and wired network problems.
• Install and configure printers and scanners.
• Replace or upgrade hardware components.
• Reinstall operating systems using bootable tools.
• Document work and communicate clearly with customers.
• Install and support POS systems and run network cabling.
• Perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup.
