Job summary

Geeks On Site is seeking an On-Call IT Field Technician to support PC, Mac, POS and TV mounting tasks. This is an independent contractor role (1099) with flexible scheduling and no guaranteed hours; you accept jobs that fit your availability across multiple U.S. cities.

The work focuses on troubleshooting, networking, printer configuration, and on-site IT services for homes and small businesses, with occasional outdoor TV mounting and AV setup based on experience.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in IT support or field service.
• Strong networking and diagnostic skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently and provide professional customer service.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and bring required tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Windows and macOS issues.
• Resolve WiFi, router, and wired network problems.
• Install and configure printers and scanners.
• Replace or upgrade hardware components.
• Reinstall operating systems using bootable tools.
• Document work and communicate clearly with customers.
• Install and support POS systems and run Cat5e or Cat6 cabling.
• Perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup.
