Job summary

Geeks On Site is hiring an on-call IT Field Technician to support PC, Mac, POS and outdoor TV mounting across multiple U.S. cities. This is a 1099 independent contractor role with on-site work and no guaranteed hours; you set your availability and we match jobs to your location and skills.

You'll troubleshoot Windows and macOS, fix network issues, configure printers, install POS systems, and perform basic mounting tasks. Dispatch and remote support are available to assist.

Qualifications

Two or more years of experience in IT support or field service.
Strong networking and diagnostic skills.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Ability to work independently and provide professional customer service.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair Windows and macOS issues
Resolve WiFi, router, and wired network problems
Install and configure printers and scanners
Replace or upgrade hardware components
Reinstall operating systems using bootable tools
Document work and communicate clearly with customers
Install and support POS systems and run Cat5e or Cat6 cabling
Perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup
Dispatch and tech support available remotely
