Job summary

Geeks On Site is hiring on-call IT Field Technicians to support residential and small business clients across the U.S. as independent contractors (1099).

Roles focus on Windows/macOS troubleshooting, network and printer setup, and occasional POS or outdoor TV mounting. You set your availability, accept jobs that fit your route, and receive ongoing dispatches with remote backup from our support team; competitive on-site pay and flexible scheduling make this a strong fit for experienced field

Qualifications

2+ years in IT support or field service.
Strong networking and diagnostic skills.
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
Independent worker with professional customer service.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Own tools: laptop, drill, screwdrivers, cable tester, RJ45 tools.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair Windows and macOS issues
Resolve WiFi, router, and wired network problems
Install and configure printers and scanners
Replace or upgrade hardware components
Reinstall operating systems using bootable tools
Document work and communicate clearly with customers
Install and support POS systems and run Cat5e/Cat6 cabling
Perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup
