Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Wilmington is seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanic to join our Facilities team. You will maintain and repair HVACR systems and controls to help ensure a safe, comfortable environment for patients, families and staff.

In this role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, read blueprints and schematics, and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure reliable operations. On-call coverage and after-hours support are part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years HVAC experience; 5+ years preferred.
• EPA Universal Section 608 Certification.
• Strong HVACR troubleshooting and repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVACR systems and controls.
• Complete preventive and corrective maintenance work orders.
• Respond to equipment issues and emergency situations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Collaborate with facilities staff, contractors, and vendors to maintain reliable building operations.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and support after-hours needs.
