Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Part-time Security & Safety Officer to patrol Loyola University Health System facilities in Melrose Park, IL. The role provides unarmed uniformed security, safety, and customer service to patients, staff, students, and visitors.

Under general supervision, you will monitor entrances, control access, respond to incidents, and assist with crowd and traffic management while enforcing hospital rules and protecting people and property.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus training in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security Administration, Fire Services or related field.
• May be on-call for emergencies and evenings/weekends as security needs.
• 1–2 years of previous job-related experience preferred.
• Illinois driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hospital campus to deter crime and ensure safety.
• Provide security presence at main entrances and control access.
• Gather information and document incidents via reports.
• Direct traffic and crowd flow on campus.
• Assist Parking and Safety departments as needed.
• Enforce Loyola University Health System / Trinity Health rules and policies.
