Job summary

Penn Medicine's Lancaster General Hospital seeks a Part-Time, as-needed Chaplain Associate to join the Chaplaincy Care and Education Department. You will provide pastoral care and supportive presence to patients and families during hospitalization, including on-call coverage across the hospital and Women and Babies Hospital.

The role requires completing CPE units and a relevant degree (BA/BS preferred; CPE required).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in theology/ministry preferred.
• Completion of one or more units of Clinical Pastoral Education is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to document care activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral care and supportive presence to patients and families.
• Assist with on-call coverage for the hospital and Women and Babies Hospital.
• Deliver and coordinate spiritual support and sacramental needs as appropriate.
• Document pastoral care activities and communicate with staff.
