Job summary

St. Croix Hospice is seeking a compassionate Weekend Registered Nurse in Troy, MI for a full-time role within our 24/7 care model.

You will respond to urgent needs, make visits, and complete admissions after hours while delivering skilled nursing care with dignity and empathy. The position offers weekend shifts Friday through Sunday (10 or 12 hour days) designed to support work-life balance while providing essential patient care and family support.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of acute care experience; hospice/home care preferred
• Current RN license in state of practice and CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Respond to triage calls and provide after-hours nursing visits for symptom management, admissions, and care plan updates
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on evolving needs
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, offering education and support to patients and caregivers
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation of care, outcomes, and communication
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
