Job summary

Amedisys is seeking an on-call Registered Nurse to support home-based patients with after-hours coverage. This role includes a $7,500 sign-on bonus and a salary range of $89,000 to $93,000, with a Mon-Thurs 5pm to 8am shift.

The RN will perform initial assessments, coordinate and revise care plans, communicate progress to the care team, educate families, and handle on-call duties to ensure continuous, compassionate care at patients' homes.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state(s) you are assigned to.
• One+ year of nursing experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial nursing assessment on new admissions.
• Completes and revises the plan of care with continuity of patient care.
• Communicates patient progress to the clinical manager and care team.
• Maintains individualized patient care records accurately and timely.
• Records pain/symptom management changes and outcomes.
• Educates families on patient condition and needs.
• Makes referrals or documents rationale as needed.
• Performs on-call responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
