Job summary

St. Croix Hospice is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse On-Call to join our 24/7 care model. You will respond to urgent needs, complete evening/weekend admissions, and help families navigate critical moments with expertise. The role offers a 7 days on/7 days off overnight schedule for balance and fulfillment.

Ideal candidates are licensed RNs with acute care experience, hospice or home care background, and a commitment to patient-centered care and autonomy in practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (AA/BA/MA).
• 1+ years of acute care experience; hospice or home care preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice and CPR certification.
• Respond to triage calls and provide after-hours nursing visits for symptom management and care plan updates.
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans as needs evolve.
• Administer medications and document care and outcomes accurately.
• Reliable transportation and driver’s license with insurance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to urgent patient needs during evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Perform after-hours admissions and update care plans accordingly.
• Provide education and support to patients and caregivers.
