Job summary

Washoe County Human Services Agency seeks Intermittent Hourly Homemaker Services Aide positions in Reno and surrounding areas. Work is on an as-needed basis with no guaranteed hours and no benefits. A valid driver’s license is required, and CPR/First Aid may be needed within three months depending on assignment.

TB tests and background checks are part of the process. Responsibilities include homemaker and personal care for homebound seniors, plus basic health screening as appropriate.

Qualifications

• One year of experience providing basic care to the elderly, disabled, or infirm.
• TB test may be required; background checks will be conducted.
• CPR and First Aid certification may be required within three months depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide homemaker, personal care, and basic health screening services to homebound seniors.
• Work on an as-needed, intermittent hourly basis with no guaranteed hours.
• Assist with daily living activities and report needs to the caseworker.
