Job summary

Mt. Grant General Hospital in Hawthorne, NV is seeking a Per Diem Homemaker to support elderly residents through homemaking and light personal assistance with errands and daily tasks.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid Nevada driver’s license with insurance, CPR & First Aid certification, and willingness to learn. Mileage is reimbursed; training is provided; open until filled.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or its equivalency.
• Must have a registered motor vehicle and a Nevada driver’s license with insurance.
• CPR and first aid certification.
• Must pass required state and federal background checks.
• Annual mandatory training.
• Experience in housekeeping, laundry and elder care preferred.

Mt. Grant General Hospital has an opening for Per Diem Homemaker. Individual should be confident, compassionate, willing to learn and interested in caring for the elderly and able to demonstrate good housekeeping skills. The selected applicant will work with minimal supervision providing homemaking services such as general housekeeping, shopping, mail pickup, and occasional bath assist. Mileage is reimbursed bi-weekly.

Any combination in training, education, and experience that would provide the knowledge and abilities.

A typical way to gain the required knowledge and ability is:

High School Diploma or its equivalency AND

Must have a registered motor vehicle, ability to drive with a current Nevada State driver’s license with insurance as required by the laws of Nevada AND

Able to maintain current certification in CPR and first aid AND

participate in annual mandatory training and

per NRS 449.174 and NRS 200.5091, successful applicant(s) must pass required state and federal background checks.

Experience in housekeeping duties, laundry and elder care preferred.
